a Trail Use Permit
The DRHT is currently a private trail, meaning
that you must have a valid permit in order to use the trail.
Carry your permit with you on
the trail
at all times! Apply for
a Permit
Please Note: Out of respect for the congregation
of Little Ark Baptist Church, trail users are not currently
authorized to use the portion of the trail property that
passes adjacent to Little Ark Baptist Church's cemetery.

Please Get Involved!
Everything that gets done on the trail - from maintenance to improvements to events - is all done by volunteers and paid for by donations. Please consider chipping in to help.
Even a couple of hours of your time makes a huge difference. When there are work parties, join us. When you see a tree down on the trail, cut it up and move it to the side. Help us plan a fund raising event. Attend a board meeting. Or make a donation.
For ideas or to find out what we're working on, drop us an email at contact@friendsdrht.org.
Trail Improvements
We work constantly to maintain and improve the trail. Our latest March 2009 effort fixed a culvert washout washout east of the Rt 218 bridge. New and recycled culverts were used to rebuild this somewhat dangerous collapse. Good job to all who worked on this...a good team effort. See Photos in our Gallery
Adopt-a-Trail Program
We're updating our trail maintenance program and looking for volunteers to adopt half-mile sections of the trail. Email our work coordinator to sign up. We appreciate the help, and the Trail thanks you!
DRHT FUNDRAISER: Picnic Tables for the DRHT
For each Picnic Table Donation of $250, the Boy
Scouts will build a picnic table and place it in a select
spot along the DRHT. A plaque, engraved with the donor's
name, will be mounted on each picnic table. Funds will go
to both the Boy Scouts and the DRHT. Let
us know you'd like to buy a picnic table |
